Skills such as taking turns, playing and kicking a ball, are called developmental milestones. Developmental milestones are things most children can do by a certain age. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, behave, and move (like jumping, running, or balancing).
Because of children’s growing desire to be independent, this stage is often called the “terrible twos.” However, this can be an exciting time for parents and toddlers. Toddlers will experience huge thinking, learning, social, and emotional changes that will help them to explore their new world, and make sense of it. During this stage, toddlers should be able to follow two- or three-step directions, sort objects by shape and color, imitate the actions of adults and playmates, and express a wide range of emotions.
In this age group we focuses on multiple skill development. Our curriculum focuseson language development, gross motor and fine motor skill development, physical, social and emotional development. We encourage creativity and expression in the child and focus on cognitive development through introduction to various concepts, numeracy skills that builds logical development.
The blend of Montessori Method of learning, Play-way technique (activity based) and 3”R” method (read, recite, recall) helps provide comprehensive development in a child. Our curriculum aims at holistic development in children.
Our educators support the children in developing their foundations of literacy, numeracy and understanding knowledge through a range of activities and experiences. Writing skills are also being supported through using a range of different methods that'll encourage the children in strengthening and building upon their pencil grasps and fine motor control.
We deliver a School Readiness program for children aged 4 – 6, our Pre Prep program that specializes in allowing your child to slowly adapt to the new school environment socially, emotionally and academically before they even begin their primary school journey. This program teaches the children a variety of literacy and numeracy skills, including how to write their names, identification of simple numbers and shapes, recognition skills, such as identifying their school bags, and a range of communications skills, tools and tactics.
Our program is designed to not only help prepare your child for a smoother transition to school, but also equip them with lifelong skills and a love of learning.
